Festival of European Jewish Choirs in Vienna
From May 18th to 21st, 2023, the eighth Festival of European Jewish Choirs took place in Vienna, organized by the European Association of Jewish Choirs and this year's hosts, the Vienna Jewish Choir and its conductor Roman Grinberg. The Leipziger Synagogalchor was among the participating choirs for the second time after London 2015, together with Susanne Langner (alto) and Tilmann Löser (organ/piano).
In numerous rehearsals and three concerts in the Vienna City Ttemple, in the Lutheran City Church and in the ballroom of the Town Hall, we made music with the Vienna Jewish Choir, the Zemel Choir London (conductor: Benjamin Wolf), the Coro Ha-Kol Rome (conductor: Alberto de Sanctis) and the Ensemble Choral Copernic Paris (conductor: Itaï Daniel). The 2024 and 2025 festivals will be held in Sofia and Paris.
